Introduction

Hello, thank you for joining me along my journey of becoming a Runner! I've always been an active guy, played sports in high school and continued into adult recreation sports after high school. As I started my family and found a career, the activity level slowly decreased. Well my Fiance had enough of our lazy ways and started on the Weight Watchers program and completely overhauled our daily meals. Step 2 was getting more active, so we decided to JOG our annual Juvenile Diabetes charity walk and actually enjoyed the activity. The month following the charity walk, we signed up for our first official 5K and had an absolute blast. From that point forward I have officially been BIT by the running bug and this is my journey to becoming a RUNNER!

A Must Tell Trail Run

I didnt plan on posting until after our race on Sunday but my trail run today was totally epic so I absolutely needed to share with all of you.  Hit the mountain by work but we were overcast and cloudy today so it made the views breathtaking.

Stopping to take pictures impacted my overall results but how can you NOT stop and admire the beauty.

How is your running weather right now?  I know some of you are preparing to get the snow gear out!!

  1. Cloud inversion is THE greatest thing that can happen in the mountains - in my opinion. I've had the privilege of seeing it maybe 5 or 6 times the best was coincidentally this Tuesday. Weather ranges from -15 and snow to 65 right now so I'm utilizing the full spectrum of my wardrobe.

  4. Love it! Glad you could share with us! We've got snow, ice, melting , rain , yucky stuff. The rail trail was actually perfect this week with just enough snow to make good footing for a run....but not enough for xc skiing. This morning is a glaze of ice over everything....be on the next flight down! :)

  5. Great pictures! Always good to stop and take in the beauty of where you are. We have a mixed bag of temps and weather down here right now. It can be 70 one day and 40 the next. Makes preparing a challenge.
