Introduction

Hello, thank you for joining me along my journey of becoming a Runner! I've always been an active guy, played sports in high school and continued into adult recreation sports after high school. As I started my family and found a career, the activity level slowly decreased. Well my Fiance had enough of our lazy ways and started on the Weight Watchers program and completely overhauled our daily meals. Step 2 was getting more active, so we decided to JOG our annual Juvenile Diabetes charity walk and actually enjoyed the activity. The month following the charity walk, we signed up for our first official 5K and had an absolute blast. From that point forward I have officially been BIT by the running bug and this is my journey to becoming a RUNNER!

  1. Congrats on second place in your AG!! That's awesome! You flew around that course!

I love all of the pics of you and the Mrs together. I wish Adam would race more! I'm lucky he does one 5K a year with me though. That's better than 0! :)

    1. Thank you. Totally fell a part on the back side but that is something that will improve over time.

I'm pretty lucky that she dragged me into this sport and now we get to do it together.

  3. AWESOME race! So glad you remembered how to post!!
I ran a couple of 10ks this summer and really liked that distance--not as quick as a 5k. Unfortunately, there aren't many of them anymore.
You guys look as fresh as daisies post-race. I always look like road kill...

  4. Yeah it's a good distance, not sure if I'm sticking to that though.

A cold post race beer will freshen you up real quick lol.

  6. Way to go!!! Look at that speedy pace :) I love all the pictures of you and the Mrs. 10K's are pretty fun, they are a good distance to really push on...not long enough to totally kill you, but plenty to make you feel used up :)

    1. I wouldn't say "not long enough to totally kill you" because I was doing the last three miles lol. But a cold beer later and I was feeling good.

  7. Given the comments I read, it sounds like you took it out a bit ambitiously? Always a fun time regardless. Looks like you had a good time, and AG 2nd is a nifty prize, eh?

Ah, the finish line beer. A few more months I can finally (legally) get one!

    1. Ah the famous "came out too fast" lol, nobody was suppose to catch that Mr Hall.

Got a nice silver medal for my AG 2nd, I wore that thing all night. Time can't come soon enough, nothing beats a post race beer :)
