Introduction

Hello, thank you for joining me along my journey of becoming a Runner! I've always been an active guy, played sports in high school and continued into adult recreation sports after high school. As I started my family and found a career, the activity level slowly decreased. Well my Fiance had enough of our lazy ways and started on the Weight Watchers program and completely overhauled our daily meals. Step 2 was getting more active, so we decided to JOG our annual Juvenile Diabetes charity walk and actually enjoyed the activity. The month following the charity walk, we signed up for our first official 5K and had an absolute blast. From that point forward I have officially been BIT by the running bug and this is my journey to becoming a RUNNER!

Your A Runner If....

IF you take your Garmin watch and track EVERY time you are out doing something LOL.  Spring break for the kids this week, half day at work for me today, so we decided to hit the zoo.

Beautiful 80 degree weather out here in Arizona.  Zoo trip ended up being 2.37 miles walking with stops here and there to see the animals.  This right here is the whole reason why I love the zoo.  Something about the elephants that just makes me look on in awe.  Of course we saw tons of other animlas but these are the only ones that matter to me lol.



After the zoo, came home and my fiance needed to get in a few miles.  So I offered to bring the kids along and bike with her.  Out came the Garmin again.  Bike rided ended up being 2.81 miles with some stops to shuffled kids in and out plus a stop at the park to let the kids run around.

Do you track your steps/miles every chance you get?  Do you only track the miles that count when you are running?
